Vietnam | E-visa - Vietnam Alice Smith | 03 Mar 2018
You can get an Evisa for traveling up to a month in Vietnam, it is $25 so cheaper than getting it at the embassy in Phnom Penh(around $55) However be very careful in filling out the form as they check them very thoroughly. You must also know which land point border crossing you will be going through, most bus companies traveling from Cambodia to Ho Chi Minh (Mekong Express, Giant Ibis) go through the Moc Bai crossing (called Bavet on the Cambodian side) , but definitely check with the company before you go.
Before we reached the border our bus driver asked everyone with an Evisa to pay $5 extra as a ‘processing fee’. He said this would speed up the process as it can take several hours otherwise for Evisas
Getting around Vietnam, can book an open bus ticket to all the places you want to go, ends up being cheaper and can easily do through your hostel.
